Purrfectionary is a national chain of boutique cat treat stores that feature a cat cafe. The organization has enjoyed a great deal of success the past five years and has over 200 stores across the United States. Purrfectionary has encountered a recent sales conversion issue where possible customers come into the store, but leave within minutes of walking in the door without making a purchase. This has only been happening within the past six months and has not always been the case.

The leadership team has hired a secret shopping firm to explore the stores and the common trend among all stores is that the staff is not welcoming customers within the first thirty seconds of walking in the door. In fact, they found that some secret shoppers were in the store for up to ten minutes without being greeted.
